Waldorf Sound Week
How it works:
Four new Soundsets for Iridium/Quantum
A collection of 33 meticulously crafted pad patches for Waldorf Iridium & Quantum.
This soundset makes use of the various native sound engines of the Iridium/Quantum, which are blended with high-quality recordings of some of the biggest pad monsters in synth history, including the legendary MKS-80, Prophet-10, JX-8P and Matrix-1000. The result is a highly usable collection of presets with some of the widest and warmest pads available on the Iridium & Quantum.
This soundset is the follow-up to the previously released set ‘FM revisited’ by Christian Gritzner. The vibrant and sonically varied patches impressively demonstrate the FM capabilities of the Iridium & Quantum by combining FM or kernel synthesis with the other synthesis forms of the Iridium/Quantum.
Most of the sounds are very atmospheric and dreamy. There are lots of pads, vintage and analogue patches, some FM effect sounds, spacey DX bells, pianos and much more! FM fans will get their money’s worth here.
Martha Bahr is a composer and synthesizer sound designer based in Munich, Germany.
She dedicated her life to music from an early age. After receiving classical training in piano, guitar, and singing she got deep into the production of electronic music.
This Quantum/Iridium soundset offers a wide variety of very atmospheric soundscapes and complex textures. The patches can be used in very different styles of music.
Darius R. is an electronic music producer/remixer and sound designer based in Barcelona. Over the years, he produced mainly EDM / House and remixed various artists.
Inspired by the powerful bass sounds of his Waldorf Q, he had the idea to recreate them on his Quantum, without samples but including all the original modulations. A very impressive result!
