Q: What new features does the SOM Board Upgrade offer for my Quantum?

Quantum MK1 After upgrading the SOM Board, the following new features will be available to you: New Seeds oscillator: Waypoint synthesis providing timbral journeys using sub-oscillators based on various methods like Ring Modulation, FM, Wavetable, Partials and various Noise/DirtTypes. Per-Note-Parameter-Locks, allowing individual parameter variations per note inspired by Aphex Twin Flavour control for micro-variations in timing, pitch, and timbre Multi-Timbral with 4 layers with advanced multi-timbral modes such as round-robin and random-robin 6 GB increased sample flash memory preloaded with 2 GB factory samples* New polyphonic Arpeggiator modes** Mutator patch randomizer** The number of available voices (polyphony) remains unchanged. ** Also available for devices without SOM upgrade with OS Version 4.0.6 or higher. Quantum MK2 All new features are the same as with the Quantum MK1 SOM upgrade. See above. Since the Quantum MK2 already has 59 GB of flash memory, the SOM upgrade has no effect here.
