I see the new product but would like to know if the oscillators are analog or digital.
What about the effects?

I wuld also like to know when sound clips of it might be available.

I am really interested in this piece.

Thanks!

Whatever the internal electronics end-up being, I already know the also to-be-released 2-Pole Analog Filter should pair-up quite nicely with this String Machine! These will sit nicely on my Black Blofeld Keyboard, right next and below where my new Pulse 2 now proudly sits.
A big 'Thank You' to Waldorf for implementing this new Forum and continuing to innovate rather than imitate. There's still no hardware synth even close to the Q, aside of course, the Waldorf Blofeld!
This 'Streichfett' does not show a 'filter section' and since the price of the 2-Pole is in the Rocket range, I may just have to purchase two 2-Poles for a stereo configuration.

I really hope at least the Ensemble effect is analog BBD-based...

EvilDragon,

I guess the Streichfett is not using BBDs, as I never seen SMD sized BBDs yet. And if you see the size of the unit, there is not enough room for through-hole components to do all the needed things. So my guess it is a SMD board inside.

I am a collector of vintage string machines. And I don't care if the ensemble FX is based on BBDs or digital delay lines. I know a digital delays sounding very analog although fully digital (COTK Analog Delay module).

And as the Streichfett does not claim to sound like a special type of vintage string machine, it will have a character of its own. And maybe we gone like it or not.
I am very eager to hear it on the Musikmesse next week.

Hi Till,

I'm looking forward to hearing this too. Will be good to know what you think of Streichfett at the Messe.
Nice to see you here.
