I wanted to hear what the Streichfett sounded like through an analog filter. The Moog filter was my first choice - so I've used a Moogerfooger MF-101. I am very happy with the results. Let me know what you think, and also let me know how you've setup your Streichfett through a filter!

Gonna try mine out with my 4pole in a sec, then my MS-20, then my Evolver and finally my Minibrute. Even considering getting a 2pole to cement between it and the mixer.

Let me know how you go!

Would love it if you could replicate this comment on my video also :)

Cheers,
Ranz

I've changed up my audio signal path recently and it took the 'fett off the fx route temporarily have grabbed some insert cables and am going to patch it back in so I can get those digital strings some analogue filter loving!

Okay I put it through the Minibrute last night with mixed results. First I tried doing a serial connection with the Streichfett going straight in on an insert type send with terrible results. Any type of filter besides lowpass was horrible and the lowpass wasn't too crash hot either. So I tried parallel fxs. Much better. Set it to use the MIDI note as a envelope trigger and I can set it to follow the Streichfett fairly closely. Using the Minibrute's arp as a trigger and pushing filter keytrack up creates an lfo-like modulation with some 'randomness' (the keytracked filter mod). And id a nice effect using any of the filter types.

I also tried the MS-20, but I think my patch lead maybe faulty as nothing was causing the MS-20's ext input peak led to light up let alone get any signal through. The Minibrute's and the MS-20's filters do sound rather close so I may get the same results, though I doubt it as running drums through Korg's little monster is extraordinary.

Slowing filling the patchbay patchpoints as I get the right length leads, so the Evolver ext input will be online like really bloody soon, as will the Microwave II but that is a fully digital synth so doesn't really count for this thread. That said, I'd like to hear the string machine through a waveshape filter. That is a very rich sounding filter so could really make the Streichfett sound huge.
