The short answer:
YES, all bios/firmware updates for any hardware should always cover fixes/bugs from previous versions (retrospectively).

The long answer:
NO, when it comes to Waldorf you cannot be sure about that. I have contacted Waldorf support directly about the clearly identified bugs filed by me here in the forum and confirmed by other Waldorf Pulse 2 users/owners. Those bugs reveals that the developer(s) are most likely young/inexperienced and that kind of bugs should not be there at all.
On top of that Waldorf support told me that they do not read and participate or comment anything in their own forum. The Quality Assurance Manager at Waldorf should do a better job and listen to what their users/customers say if they intend to maintain their customers and market shares?
Yapp, my "no" answer is both skeptical and negative, but it's my current opinion and it will not change until Waldorf support has proven the opposite. If they should start fixing bugs and supporting our demands on a higher level I am certain that it would be welcomed by all Waldorf owners because this is only one product of many.

Thanks for reply, at least the mac updater is a good idea, I only pressed to open it and it updated the pulse quickly, I'm just relying on them to include all the fixes. I imagine the Pulse 2 is legacy hardware to waldorf now?

Hi CameronJohn
Just checked and the Waldorf Pulse 2 is still selling, so it is not legacy yet :)
