I installed the update QuantumOS_2.0. However, I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to load the 2.0 sound update. I could not figure it out

computer: download > unzip > copy to sd/usb > insert into quatum

quantum: load > actions > import > select sd/usb > select the folder for an author's name (not an individual patch) > import > select a starting slot where the patches in that folder will be copied to > start
repeat for all authors

I just received my Quantum. It has about 1529 patches already installed. When I add the 2.0 Sounds, I would select starting slot 1530 then? I want to keep the existing patches, plus add the new ones. Or, does the Quantum automatically organize them by Author/Bank? Thank you.

the author/bank/attribute are just tags in the patches which are filtered against in the load screen.

you don't have to use 1530 for the starting location - you could choose 2000 if you wanted.

when you import you get the option to overwrite existing patches based on your starting number, but if you use a starting point higher than the highest factory patch there's nothing to overwrite.
