Hi there!
I've just bought a BLOFELD, second hand.
I did the last Firmware update. When I'm playin continuous/many notes on some pad sounds there's a crackling sound. No, it's not the Attack of the Amp Envelope (I've tried it). Sounds like voice stealing to me (increased CPU). I really don't remember that this happened before the update (maybe yes, maybe no).
Two questions:
1) Can I downgrade (rollback) to the 1st Firmware? Or the previous one? I think it was 1.1...
2) If it's a Digital issue, can it be fixed?

Kind regards,

Eltron

Same thing here, sounds like cpu-related.

edit: I just tried to roll back to firmware 1.22, same crackling when taxing the cpu. The problem is polyphony. If I have a patch using two sample oscillators with a long release time, the cracking occurs when 12 or more notes are playing at the same time.

i’ve had the Blofeld Desktop for many years. Polyphony has always been a big problem, it used to be clicking, now it’s scrambled sound. I wish there was a way to hard limit the polyphony to 8 voices!

Yeap, I think has to do with Voice Stealing (not enough polyphony)!
Thanx for the feedback )))
