Saving .wpc or .xml files in Spectre

I'm using Spectre to reduce the number of factory samples on my Blofeld Keys so that I can upload more samples of my own.

I've figured out how to do this but I want to save my work - that is the changed list of programs and their samples - and this needs to be done as a .wpc file or an .xml file.

The 'Save' option in Spectre does indeed save an .xml file - which can then be re-opened in Spectre. BUT it does not consistently save the changes - it's quite random!

Am I doing something wrong - or is Spectre just dodgy software?

Is there alternative software I can use to manage samples on the Blofeld?

I find it incredulous that a company that makes such wonderful synths is unable to write a bit of decent software to manage them - the free downloads I've found seem much better at it - but don't manage samples - pity.

Hi Bob, that it has been 4 months since you posted this with no answer means I guess that we all gave up on this. You're doing nothing wrong. Waldorf did terribly wrong. Spectre is a piece of crap. Period.

Cheers!

Yes, I wrote that paper because I received no replies from anyone else!

Enjoy!
