What does M1 Amount do?

Hello,

First post. Hope it's not too stupid.

When looking at the modulation matrix there are a series of destinations on the right. Near the end of this series there M1 Amount, M2 Amount, M3 Amount and M4 Amount. The manual's sole reference to these is in the appendix and it says, "M1 Amount - Modulation amount of M1, M2 Amount - Modulation amount of M2, M3 Amount - Modulation amount of (now get this) M1 (!) and M4 Amount - Modulation amount of M2 (!)"
Whaaat? First of all what the... heck are M1-4? Secondly, 3 and 4 do exactly the same thing as 1 and 2? Even if that's a typo it still gives no clue to what the mysterious "M" numbers are or do.
Anybody have a clue?

Hi!

I thought it refers to the 4 modifiers which are part of the modulation matrix. (But Zaphod is right (see below))

This here is a good tutorial:

The whole thing gives you a vast field of modification options.

Hoping, that this will help you a little. The whole modification business is pretty complex but experimenting with
them shows very exciting and sometimes strange results.

Cheers!

I am glad you liked it! He has made some really informative videos about the Blofeld.
I learned a lot about this marvellous machine from him!

Cheers and enjoy!

The M1, M2, M3, M4 refer to the modulation amount of Slot 1,2,3,4 respectively.

For example in slot 1 you could say LFO1 amount 0 pitch1
then in slot 5 you say env3 amount 38 M1 amount

That way the envelope controls the LFO amount of pitch 1.

Zaphod is right: M1-4 are here to modulate a modulation :woohoo:

So my link to the modifiers was a bit misleading and therefore I corrected it, but nevertheless: it opens up a whole new world of modification :silly:

One of the reasons, the Blofeld still Blo‘s my mind :)
