I received my new Waldorf Quantum a couple weeks ago, and it is absolutely magnificent. My thanks to Waldorf for making such a beautiful and endless instrument. It is a lifetime instrument for me - just amazing.
My one feature request is for Polyphonic Sequencing. I was surprised to find out, considering the sheer power of the Quantum, that it was equipped with only a monophonic sequencer (plus the parameter seqs). A free-running polyphonic sequencer that I could program chords with and then play over the top would be totally fantastic. I understand you can use a DAW for this, but I am strictly a hardware guy.
Lastly, this is more of a bug, but like others have reported in a separate thread, I’m experiencing sporadic bursts of very loud noise (a split second of extremely loud noise). This happens intermittently and seems to occur when I am messing with sound parameters. There is also a behavior sometimes where I get glitchy noisy sounds that don’t go away (they are not a part of the patch). The only way to fix is usually to reboot.
Again, the Quantum is really supreme - I love it so much. I just want to offer these comments to make the Quantum even better. Thanks!!!
